You'll have a private room in a shared apartment with other students on the program. We handle the entire search, paperwork and setup — you just arrive and move in.

Apartments typically have 3–4 bedrooms, shared with other students on the program. A great way to make friends from day one.

Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen — fridge, hob, oven, microwave and all the basics. Cook at home or explore Barcelona's incredible food scene.

Clean, shared bathroom facilities. Apartments are selected for comfort and cleanliness — we inspect every property before placing students.

A resident assistant in every flat

Each apartment has a resident assistant — a slightly older student who has lived in Barcelona for at least a year and speaks Spanish. They live in the flat with you and are on hand for any immediate help you need, whether that's navigating Spanish bureaucracy, getting to know the neighbourhood, or just settling in during those first few days.

Well-connected Barcelona neighbourhoods

All apartments are within 30 minutes of the school by walking or public transport. Barcelona is extremely well connected — most students find they barely need to use public transport at all.

Apartments are sourced in central areas including Eixample, Gràcia, Sant Antoni and nearby neighbourhoods — all well-connected and safe.

Getting around

Walking & public transport

Barcelona is one of Europe's most walkable cities. The metro, bus and bike-share systems are excellent and affordable. Most students walk to school.

We personally inspect and vet every property we use. All apartments are in safe, well-lit areas and have been checked for security, cleanliness and comfort.

Accommodation questions

Yes — every student has their own private bedroom. You share the kitchen, living room and bathroom with your flatmates, but your bedroom is yours alone.

You'll be sharing with other students on the Gap Year in Spain program — typically 2–3 flatmates. This is one of the best ways to build friendships quickly. Your flat also has a resident assistant who is slightly older and has lived in Barcelona for at least a year.

Yes — electricity, water, gas and wifi are all included in your program fee. You won't need to set up any accounts or worry about utility bills.

All apartments are within 30 minutes of the school by walking or public transport. Barcelona is a very walkable city and most students find they can walk to school, or take a short metro or bus journey.

Yes — here we have photos of the flats we manage. Once your place is confirmed we'll also share details of your specific apartment before you arrive.

If you're applying with a friend who is also on the program, let us know and we'll do our best to place you in the same apartment. We can't guarantee this but we will always try.

Our team picks you up from Barcelona airport on your arrival day and takes you directly to your accommodation. Your resident assistant will be there to welcome you and help you settle in before the program begins.
